I am the Founder and CEO of Roomi, a peer-to-peer marketplace that helps people find shared housing and the right people to live with. I created Roomi after experiencing the pain of searching for a housemate myself, spending countless hours emailing back and forth, sifting through candidates with conflicting preferences, and worrying about the safety and accuracy of listings. Convinced there was a better way, I got to work building Roomi, which launched in 2015 and is now live across iOS, Android and web, and in 21 markets in the US and Canada. Prior to founding Roomi, I studied computer science at NYIT and helped launch two other startups. I also serve as a Lean Startup Machine mentor, advising early-stage startups during crucial growth points, and hail from India. I am a regular contributor to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Network, Inc42 and The Huffington Post, and has been featured in the L.A. Times, TechCrunch, Fox5 News, The Real Deal and Bloomberg Businessweek. Most recently, I became an inductee to the 2017 class of Forbes 30 Under 30.
